Liars

An age old question, "What’s worse, a thief or a liar?" From my experiences, I know that a liar is worse and most liars are thieves. Just plain ole thieves take something of value for their personal gain. Often they have never seen the person from which they steal. But, a liar knows the person they are lying to.

When one takes an item of value, that’s all they steal. When a person lies, they take away your natural instinct to trust people and belief they tell the truth. With multiple encounters with liars, one gets where one doesn’t believe or trust anyone, save for a few folks - very few.

Liars often have no monetary gain in their lies. There is a character flaw that causes them to lie when the truth would be better. It has been said, "Tell the truth and you won’t have to try to remember what you say." Comedian Justin Wilson told a story about a man who was confronted by another, "How come you told me that lie?" The first man responded with a question, "Which one?"

The world would be a better place if for just one day, everyone told the truth.

Not even a little ‘white’ lie.
