Please explain to me why network televison must carry live coverage of an event such as the search for the bomber in Boston. I’m not talking about breaking in when something happens. I am talking about hour after hour of nothing but stupid questions and showing the same pictures. Just how many times do they think viewers want to see a truck drive up and down a street, or phone interview someone locked inside their house. One of the stations had some woman ask, "what have you and your husband been doing?" They don’t ever want me to answer that question should circumstances occur.
It apparently never occurs to them, since they are the elite media gods, that few if any people want to watch absolutely nothing. We have sitcoms for that - watching absolutely nothing. Don’t these people have something else to do? Maybe they could get into the house where the woman and her husband are doing something and check out her dog and three cats.
I think I know the answer to my question. It’s the same answer to a lot of questions.
You can’t fix stupid.
