Fishing Trip?

Well, it happened. I had to take my 90 year old father-in-law fishing. We caught a couple of small fish, but now he wants to go again. In fact, he said, "If I lived here, I’d go fishing every day."

And, he sure does like our house and the food. Is this a sign of things to come?

One of these days, I’m going to get old. Or, maybe not.

It does take some adjusting to having the in-laws in for a stay. But, I try to be patient, which for me is like having a tooth pulled without drugs. I just try to remember that it was my mother-in-law that introduced me to the theater - not the movie theater. My first live production experience was ‘My Fair Lady", and I was hooked.

My father-in-law has contributed life enrichment life lessons too - "Don’t force it. Use a bigger hammer. And, if you can’t fix it with duct tape or a hammer, it’s an electrical problem."

Well at least he didn’t fall into the lake.
