New Project

One of my problems - there are too many to list - is that I try to be helpful. There was a need for someone to handle a community email bulletin board in our little commune. Sounds like a simple job and I opened my mouth and said I would help. I really need to spend more time not talking.

All one has to do is forward emails that come into a central point to about 400 other members. In today’s world, there are about a million reasons you can’t do that. If you try it on any server, the email won’t go. Because of the long recipient list, it is recognized as spam. Everyone knows spam is bad. Unless it’s fried.

Fortunately there are servers set up to accomplish such a task. Unfortunately, they are not user friendly. And, there is no help desk. At least, I haven’t found it yet. To send a single email, there are about fifteen steps one has to take. And, in this case you have to have two sessions - one for the original and one for the sending server. The last time I cut and pasted so much I was in the first grade.

We all hate getting mail we don’t want. Now I hate sending mail.

Next time I will pretend I don’t speak the language.
