It’s that time again - income tax day. The day half of the country hates and the other half loves. The half that loves taxes is the side that doesn’t pay anything. Obviously the side that hates taxes is the one that pays for the other side to do whatever they do or don’t do.
I would like to suggest that for those that pay taxes, the form be simplified. A few years ago I saw the ideal form. All you have to do is put your name, social security number and how much you earned. Then you send the IRS a check for the whole amount. And, why not a form for the other side - it’s the least they could do - that asks for name, social security and how much you want.
Remember April 15 is the due date for filing. The tax code is 73,000 pages. If you want to get full benefit of legal deductions you may want to start reading. Now!
Oh well. Page one.
