Consequences

One of the problems with life is almost everything you do has consequences. Even when you think that you are not affecting anyone but you. I know that when I do or don’t do something, my financial controller points out the consequences.

I don’t know many, if any, people that give any thought to most of what they do. A simple example is going out to buy something expensive. The consequences may be you really can’t afford it.

If you don’t do a good job at work, you may discover that you get fired. If you cheat on your spouse, the result can be devastating. Steal something and you end up in jail.

Think about the lives that suffer the consequences of your actions. How many times have you done something that didn’t bother you, but impacted someone else?

My conclusion is that this is all part of a test. The supreme being is testing us to see if we care about what we do without regard to what the consequences are to family, friends and even those people we’ll never meet.

I want to know if 70 is passing on the test.

Does He grade on the curve?
