Finally the run off elections are over in Texas. Maybe we will have a moment of peace and quiet for a few weeks before all the ads and phone calls begin for the November bash.
I don’t know about you but by election time, I am convinced that I should not vote for any candidate in the race. If you listen or read all the ads, there are some candidates, at least according to their opponent, that should be tried and sentenced to death or at least tarred and feathered. I would like to see them all tarred and feathered.
It is amazing that anyone would want to hold a political office. It just doesn’t make sense to spend millions of dollars for a job that pays a few thousand. I know it’s a power thing, but still there is a lot of misery that comes from trying to please some of the people some of the time.
Fortunately, I couldn’t get elected to be dog catcher. Especially if the dogs got to vote.
I understand that dogs do vote in some parts of the country. And dead people too.
