In the past few weeks there have been insane shootings. At a theater and a temple. Before these there were others, all in gun free zones. Gun free zones are nothing more than a big sign that proclaims to any mad person that there is little or no chance that anyone can defend themselves there.
Before you jump to the conclusion that I am some gun nut, stop and think about what I just said. Really think about it.
I have had a gun permit since they became available. I do not think everyone should have a permit. It takes training and commitment. And, under all circumstances, a permit carrier cannot assure anyone that a bad guy will go down. But, there is at least a chance.
Criminals don’t go by the laws. That’s why they are called criminals. If all the guns in the world were banned, criminals would still have guns. And, they would use them against those unable to defend themselves.
What we need is not gun free zones. We need responsible trained people that are committed to stopping a criminal act.
Americans will never give up their guns. It is better to train them on how to use them properly for defense.
Politicians will never give up trying to ban guns.
But, I repeat myself. Criminals - Politicians.
