Arizona Governor Jan Brewer continues her battle with illegal immigration by issuing her own executive order after the Prez issued an executive order allowing a select group of illegal immigrants to obtain a two year work permit to avoid deportation. So the Governor stepped up and said, okay, but they can’t drive in my state. No drivers license or other unspecified public benefits will allowed to deferred action recipients.
Arizona has long been the gateway for illegal entry into the U.S. and the Governor has continuously tried to reduce the flow and associated crimes. It is interesting to note that the Federal Government is suing the State for enforcing Federal law.
As I have expressed before, I support immigration if it is legal. I do not think those that violate laws are "special" and deserve privileges.
All I can say about this matter is, "Governor Jan - YOU'RE THE MAN."
